Established in 2001, aiming for industrialization of advanced wireless communications, under cooperative work with Industrial Research Institute of Niigata Prefecture, universities and related companies, based on the result of a study on fast wireless data transmissions conducted in 2000 for the purpose of industrial reinforcement.
IEEE802.11b-based wireless devices that achieve 11Mbps at 2.4GHz bands have been developed with technical supports from Niigata Institute of Technology. Currently, IEEE802.11a-based wireless devices that achieve 54Mbps at 5GHz bands are under development with the intention of fast and robust image transmissions.
